Jorinde and Jasper got married on Midsummer’s Eve. There were no washing a face in the river or jumping over bonfire with the person you were sweet on, but still it was a magical wedding at De Tuin van de Smid in Leiden. The day had started with Jorinda getting ready with her bridesmaids at the Hotel Steenhof Suites. The later is a typical dutch building from 1460 and is mostly made of brick and stone with the stair-like designs on the roof sides (called stepped gables) and pointy roof. After an emotional and happy first look and the couple photo shoot in the center of Leiden, Jorinde and Jasper headed to their wedding venue, De Tuin van de Smid, a rustic and stylish farmhouse with the green loans and terraces between the trees. They had a splendid outdoor wedding ceremony on a hot summer day, followed by a chatty reception and delicious vegetarian dinner inside at De Kas, and dancing fun at De Tuinzaal, with a couple’s private room at De Hooiberg. And certainly sparklers fun for all the guests late at night! It was a day full of happy tears, many laughs, giggles and so much love!
